Combination Skin Face Serum

Balance of ingredients for normal / oily combination skin. Those with the “T” zone are usually oilier on their forehead, nose and chin while other areas of the face are normal or dry. We combined ingredients known to benefit combination skin types.

Sunflower seed oil is high in Vitamins A, D and E. It’s deeply nourishing and conditioning. Pomegranate seed oil provides powerful anti-oxidant benefits for numerous skin ailments. Grape Seed is a light oil that usually even those with sensitive skin can use as it won’t clog pores. Castor oil has a high concentration of fatty acids which penetrate the skin quickly. We also combined pure essential oil that is great for combination skin types.

Ingredients: Organic Sunflower Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Castor Oil, Vitamin E (from non-gmo source), Frankincense Essential Oil, Geranium Essential  Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Neroli Essential Oil

Try our Combination Skin Face Serum Today! Always apply to a freshly cleaned face. Our face serums are made with pure non-gmo oils and essential oils specifically designed for individual skin types. Packaged in cobalt blue glass bottle with a roll on top for convenience of use.

What's The Perfect Face Serum For Your Skin?

Our face serum is a combination of pure non-gmo oils and essential oils designed for different skin types. We created a serum for Maturing skin, Oily skin, Combination skin and Dry skin.
A serum doesn't contain thickening agents like cream and lotion which moisture the top layer of skin and hold moisture in.
What does a face serum do?
Serums penetrate into the three layers of skin, the Epidermis (top layer), the Dermis ( the middle layer), and the bottom layer known as the Hypodermis. You can follow up with your regular cream to lock in moisture.
It's important to always apply facial serums on a freshly cleansed face so you don't seal dirt into your skin. Facial serums penetrate deep within the layers of skin and you don't want to pull dirt down deeper in your pores.
How do you use a face serum?
Face serum can be applied (to a freshly cleaned face) whenever you feel you skin needs an extra lift. It can also be used as part of your daily routine. You can use it morning and night or just at night when skin is at rest.
Face serums may not be for everyone and not all face serums are the same. Some oils are good for oily skin while others are not. Face serums may absorb too quickly for people with skin issues like eczema or rosacea. Others can really benefit from facial serums due to their ability to deeply penetrate the skin and smooth out fine lines or reduce age spots. Be sure sure to check out our website to learn more about face serum and the different offers we provide.

The Goat And The Chicken

When our goat Goldie injured her shoulder and was unable to walk anymore she was confined to one stall. We used a chain hoist and a hammock to lift her up everyday. One of our chickens displayed an act of kindness you'd never expect from a chicken. The chicken stayed in the stall with the goat the whole time.
They ate together, drank together and even slept together.
Chickens don't usually lay on the ground. They roost.
The chicken walked in front of Goldie. They looked at each other and the chicken sat down in front of her while Goldie rested her head on the chicken for comfort.
Right before Goldie passed away the chicken sat on one bale of hay while I sat on the other until she took her last breath. After Goldie passed away the chicken hopped down jumped out of the stall and never went back in. And at night she went back to roosting.

Make Your Own Goat Sling

Our goat Fool's Gold aka Goldie was a wonderful, gentle goat. We want to share our story about her.
One day I came in the barn and she was limping. That's not all that uncommon to find a goat limping but usually they shake it off within a few days. I called the vet. He came out and said she injured her shoulder. She didn't have a temperature and no sign of infection. He said to keep an eye on it and see if it gets better on its own. After about a week she wasn't any better but actually worse. Her shoulder was raised above her back. The vet came back out and said she tore the nerves in her shoulder and the muscle was deteriorating. He said there's nothing that can be done. She would not make it. Goats can live without a back leg but not a front. They bare their weigh on their front legs and she was about a month away from giving birth. So she had added weight on her legs.
We searched goat slings trying to find one to get her off the ground. I want share with you what we did. Maybe it will help your goat when you need to get them up off the ground.
We attached a chain hoist to the rafters of the barn. We also attached a gambrel to the hoist. At first we used a moving blanket and two tow ropes at first but her weight ripped the moving blanket where the tow ropes went through.
This idea wasn't going to work so we bought a hammock. It worked
great. Now that we had her up. I also researched how to heal the torn nerve and muscle.
Everyday I rubbed comfrey salve into her muscles.  I made chamomile and red clover tea with honey for her to drink everyday. I also fed her blackberry leaves which help repair nerve damage.Chamomile is good for nerves and red clover for weak nerves. Unfortunately we lost Goldie. She went into premature labor and her cervix would not open. She will be missed. Now we have a therapy stall and everything in place when another goat gets injured or sick. She seemed happy in the hammock and it didn't put too much pressure on her stomach.

National Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk Day

Don't cry over spilled milk day is February 11.
In honor of National Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day I'll tell you about our goat Bess AKA “the back breaker”.
She made it her mission in life to spill milk. She would sit on the bucket, try to kick the bucket and simply made milking miserable for both of us.
She spilled many buckets of milk in her lifetime. We finally came to an understanding. If I milked fast enough she wouldn't spill the milk. If I was one second beyond her allotted time there went the bucket.
She trained me well. I learned exactly how long I had to milk and got quite good at removing the bucket at the perfect time before she spilled the milk!
So here’s to a happy “don’t cry over spilled milk day”!

Featured Ingredient: Babassu Oil

We use babassu oil in our goat milk soaps. It's pronounced Bah-bah-soo.  Babassu oil is derived from the seeds of the babassu tree. When the nut from the tree ripens and falls to the ground the seed kernels are gathering and the oil is expelled. Babassu has a melt point close to the human body temperature. It's solid at room temperature and resembles body butter. It moisturizes without leaving an oily feel on your skin. Babassu is good for dry or oily complexion.
We love it in our soaps! It helps us create a hard bar of soap that lasts longer and it's non-clogging for your pores!
