Benefits Of Wheatgrass For Skin Care

We use different herbs and ingredients to many of our soaps but today we are going to talk about our Herbal Symphony Goat Milk Soap and why we use wheat grass.

Herbal Symphony Goat Milk Soap is from our Skin Rehab Collection. Our skin rehab goat milk soap collection is a grouping of our handcrafted soaps that restore and hydrate your skin.

Herbal Symphony Goat Milk Soap has mango butter which rejuvenates healthy skin cells. This soap also contains organic wheat grass a young grass from the wheat family, rich in vitamins A, C and E. Wheat grass contains amino acids and minerals healthy for our body. Wheat grass is great for acne, eczema and psoriasis. We also add spearmint and eucalyptus essential oils which makes a great natural uplifting soap.

Wheat grass doesn't contain gluten even though it's from the wheat family. It's harvested young before it goes to seed so therefore there isn't any gluten in the product we use. We use Pines Wheat Grass. Check out their website if you want to learn more about the health benefits of drinking wheat grass.

From our Pure and Natural Goat Milk Soap Collection Natural Honey Goat Milk Soap is just that!
This soap is unscented and has the goodness of raw unprocessed honey. Honey has natural antibacterial properties and provides extra moisture. Honey along with goats milk helps your skin moisturize and maintain moisture in your skin.

We also have Oatmeal and Honey Goat Milk Soap from our Exfoliating Goat Milk Soap Collection. Ground oatmeal to gently exfoliate dead skin cells combined the natural goodness of honey makes this a great way to have an exfoliate and moisturize at the same time.

You can make your own home spa recipes with honey. Be sure to check out our Banana Face Mask recipe.
You can also simply add honey to your bath water to absorb the great benefits honey has to offer.

What's A Good Soap For Children?

We created a soap especially for babies. It's not only babies though. Our Baby & Me Goat Milk Soap is gentle enough for problem skin. We know babies have sensitive skin and this bar was created with that in mind. This soap is fragrance-free and essential oil-free. If you have eczema or psoriasis stick with soap free of essential oils and fragrance oils. Try to use the most gentle bar you can find.

From our Pure and Natural Goat Milk Soap Collection, Baby & Me Goat Milk Soap is made with organic chamomile infused in olive oil. Chamomile is gentle and soothing for your skin. We add pureed carrots, rich in antioxidants. We add a little coconut oil, babassu oil and castor oil to add a little lather. This soap is considered a Bastille bar, meaning it has a high olive oil content, which means it's gentle enough for babies and those with sensitive or problem skin.

This bar doesn't last or lather as long as our other bars. Be sure to keep it dry in-between use. When you have really sensitive or problem skin you should always test a small area and see how it works for you.

Our ingredients: olive oil infused with organic chamomile, goats milk, coconut oil, babassu oil, castor oil, pureed carrots.

  • No Parabens
  • No Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate
  • No GMO Oils

No Animal Testing With Our Products

One question we get asked is, "do you test your products on animals"? That's a fair question. The answer is simple. No! We don't test products on our dog, cat or our goats.

We test our products on ourselves, our family and our friends. We know that they will be honest and tell us what they really think. We also send our products to select customers that love to try products for free and let us know their opinion.

You can rest assured that we care about all our animals. When we launch a new product we try it first and thoroughly test it but not on you or animals. Once we know we love it we put it on the market.

What's The Best Soap For Sensitive Skin?

People ask us all the time "What's the best soap for sensitive skin?" Natural Goat Milk Soap in general is a good choice for sensitive skin. Goats milk is so gentle on your skin and combined with skin loving oils most people can enjoy our soaps with no problems.

Here's what we suggest when people ask us about sensitive skin. We suggest one of our soaps from our pure and natural collection.

  • Plain Jane Goat Milk Soap - this is an unscented soap but there's nothing plain about Jane! This soap is still loaded with skin-loving oils just like our other bars. It's just fragrance-free for those that prefer an unscented bar.
  • Natural Honey Goat Milk Soap - this is also unscented but has the goodness of raw unprocessed honey. Honey has natural antibacterial properties and provides extra moisture.
  • Baby & Me Goat Milk Soap - this one is so gentle we made it especially for babies sensitive skin. This is great for not only sensitive skin but especially for problem skin.
So there you have it. Those are our top picks for sensitive skin. Now let's look at problem skin real quick and why we suggest Baby & Me Goat Milk Soap. Baby & Me Goat Milk Soap is made with organic chamomile infused in olive oil.

How Long Does Your Soap Last?

One question we get asked is "How long does your soap last?" Based on normal usage you're soap should last a few weeks or more.

That's not an easy question to answer. It depends on how you use it and how you store it. If you use a washcloth or sponge you should be able to get longer use out of your soap. When you use the bare bar and lather up several times it will go away faster.

Storage is another issue. You want to keep your soap dry in-between use. Use a slotted soap dish so the water drains out. If you leave it sitting on the tub moisture sits under the bar and dissolves faster. Keeping your bar in the shower all the time allows the moisture and spray of the shower to dissolve your bar faster.

Our bars typically last longer than commercial soaps. Just take care of your handmade soap and it will take care of you, giving you a longer time to enjoy each bar.

Goat Milk Soap With Pure Essential Oils

Let me introduce you to our Citrus Delight Goat Milk Soap
From our Daily Nourishing Goat Milk Soap Collection, Citrus Delight Goat Milk Soap has a combination of orange, tangerine and grapefruit essential oils making this perfect for any gender.
This soap is the same scent as our Citrus Delight Goat Milk Lotion and Citrus Delight Body Spray. They make the perfect pair.

Check out our ingredients:
Contains: Olive oil, goats milk, coconut oil, organic sunflower oil, babassu oil, castor oil, flax oil, pure sodium hydroxide*, orange, tangerine and grapefruit essential oils.

*Sodium hydroxide is not in the finished product. We cure our soap for at least 6 weeks which cures the sodium hydroxide out of the soap. We must use this product to get a hard bar of soap. Without it you would have liquid soap. Before the commercial making of sodium hydroxide otherwise known as lye, it was made by packing ashes into a barrel. Hot water dripped through the ashes, producing a thick liquid.

All our soaps are made the old-fashion way. Handcrafted using cold-process soap making. We let our soaps cure at least six which insures our soaps are mild for your skin and produces a hard bar of soap that last longer. Keep dry in between use and you'll be surprised how long our bars last!

We raise Nubian goats and they are all feed organic non-gmo grains. The milk in our soap is pure whole milk straight from our farm to you!
