Tub Tea Recipe

We started making tub tea greeting cards. They are fun to make and a great handmade gift. We want to share some recipes with you to make your own. We use large tea bags but you can easily use a sachet bag.
Recipe #1 Lavender Oatmeal Tub Tea
- 2 cups Epsom Salt or Dead Sea Salt
- 2 heaping tablespoons of Lavender Flowers
- 1 cup Ground Oatmeal
- 1 cup Powdered Goat Milk (optional)
- 15-20 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Recipe #2 Chamomile Oatmeal Tub Tea
- 2 cups Epsom Salt or Dead Sea Salt
- 2 heaping tablespoons of Chamomile Flowers
- 1 cup Ground Oatmeal
- 1 cup Powdered Goat Milk (optional)
- 15-20 drops Orange Essential Oil

You can create your own mixture very easily with what ever you have on hand. Other things you can add in or substitute with one of the above ingredients could include baking soda or cornstarch. Both are skin softening like oatmeal or powdered milk.

You can substitute with other herbs also like calendula flowers or rose petals. Use your favorite essential oils.

Use a large mixing bowl and add all the ingredients together. I add the essential oil at the end and mix again. You can use tea bags like we do and seal them with an iron or simply use sachet bags with a draw string. Spoon your mixture into your bags and it's that easy and ready to use.

We made handmade greeting cards to hold our tea bags. We'll list instructions on how to make your own tub tea holder soon.
